Media release

For Immediate Release: Monday, March 03, 2014

Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation
You're invited to discuss the results of this three-year planning effort on Thursday, March 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Portland Community College Willow Creek Center.

Thousands of comments from a broad spectrum of Aloha and Reedville residents over the last three years have helped shape this plan. The plan includes 31 recommendations and more than 135 specific actions designed to help ensure an even brighter future for Aloha and Reedville.

More than $35 million is targeted for investment in the Aloha-Reedville community within the next five years, and Washington County is actively pursuing additional funding to implement many of the plan's recommendations.

Planning may be complete, but there's more work to be done! Come learn what the County and its partners have underway, and how you can be involved in helping make Aloha and Reedville's future even brighter! We need the community's help to make this plan a reality.

Several community partner organizations will be at this event to share information. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will also be on hand to provide information about an upcoming safety project on TV Highway at 185th Avenue. Learn more and provide feedback to the ODOT project team.

Light refreshments and children's activities will be provided. PCC Willow Creek is located at 241 SW Edgeway Drive, Beaverton. It is accessible by MAX and TriMet Bus #52 (TriMet stop information). The facility is also ADA accessible.

Bilingual and/or sign language interpreters and Assistive Listening Devices are available with 48-hours prior notice. Please email your request to [email protected].
