Washington County Transportation Development Tax (TDT) rates will increase by 2.94 percent, effective July 1.

The Washington County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday (May 1) proclaimed May National Building Safety Month in support of work performed by the Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT).

The public is invited to comment on options for the North Bethany Main Street area at an open house from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Springville K-8 School, 6655 NW Joss Ave.

The spring Development Forum, hosted by Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation, will be 8:30-10 a.m. April 19 at the Washington County Walnut Street Center, 1400 Walnut St., Hillsboro.

The Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation’s 2018-19 Long Range Planning Annual Work Program was adopted by the Board of Commissioners at its March 6 meeting.

Permanent, manual-locking flood gates have been installed on Susbauer and Fern Hill roads ahead of winter weather to allow for more efficient closure of the roads during high water.

The public is invited to provide feedback on specific land use and transportation improvements in the Aloha Tomorrow Study at the Aloha Tomorrow Open House.
