A contractor for Washington County's Department of Land Use & Transportation will be doing paving preparation and paving work on Scholls Ferry Road between Roy Rogers Road and Teal Boulevard over the next two weeks:
- Daytime pavement preparation (milling): Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, September 5. This paving preparation work will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day and will primarily occur at the intersections.
- Nighttime paving: Sunday, September 7 through Saturday, September 13. This work will occur each night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Paving work is weather dependent and dates and times are subject to change.
This work is related to the Scholls Ferry Road (Roy Rogers Road to Teal Boulevard) improvement project. The project is widening Scholls Ferry Road between Roy Rogers Road and Teal Boulevard to two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Additional improvements include bicycle lanes and sidewalks, street lighting and utility line upgrades.
The project is funded through phase 3d of the County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). Construction is anticipated to be completed by December 31, 2014.
