The public is invited to comment on the Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation Long Range Planning Draft FY 2019-20 Work Program.
The work program identifies and ranks Long Range Planning staff's annual tasks including ordinances, projects and other transportation and community-planning activities. Priorities include:
- Implementation of recommendations from the Aloha Tomorrow study
- Continue exploration of options to encourage affordable housing development
- Assessment of County Significant Natural Resource practices and regulations, with a specific focus on upland wildlife habitat
- Implementation of recommendations from the Cooper Mountain Area Transportation study
- A Countywide Transit Study to identify opportunities to increase transit use and meet potential demand identified in the Transportation Futures Study including an evaluation of strategic solutions for First and Last Mile transit connections
- Review of County road design and construction standards
- Transportation planning for urban reserves
- Planning efforts along TV Highway including:
- Development of the Moving Forward TV Highway plan to improve transit and traveler safety between Cornelius Pass Road and 160th Avenue
- Development of a concept plan for the Tualatin Valley Trail in unincorporated Washington County
