Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend a “Meet the Contractor” open house on October 1 for the Scholls Ferry Road improvement project. The event will be held at Scholls Heights Elementary School, 16400 SW Loon Drive, Beaverton. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to meet the County’s hired contractor, Kerr Contractors, and to learn more about the construction schedule. County staff will also be on hand to discuss the project details.

This project will widen the existing two and three lane section of Scholls Ferry Road between Roy Rogers Road and Teal Boulevard to five lanes. Additional improvements include bicycle lanes, sidewalks, street lighting, storm drainage and other safety improvements. Construction will be completed by the end of 2014.

Funding for this project is provided by the county’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
