Andrew Singelakis, Director of Washington County's Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT), announces the appointment of Melissa De Lyser as the department's Communications Coordinator effective May 11, 2015.
LUT's Communications Coordinator is the department's primary media liaison, and is responsible for strategy and oversight of all internal and external communications for the department's programs and projects.
"Melissa brings extensive communications experience to the department, and we're excited to have her joining LUT," said Singelakis. Ms. De Lyser has more than 10 years of agency communications experience and has also been a business and local government newspaper reporter. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and is currently completing a Master's degree in Strategic Communications from the University of Oregon.
