Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend a “Meet the Contractor” Open House on May 9 for the Scholls Ferry Road at Fanno Creek bridge replacement project. The event will be held at McKay Elementary School’s gymnasium, 7485 SW Scholls Ferry Road, Beaverton. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to meet the contractor, MJ Hughes Construction. Project staff from Washington County will be available to answer questions and discuss the anticipated project schedule and construction phasing.
This project will replace the bridge over Fanno Creek on Scholls Ferry Road with a newer longer structure that will span the creek, restoring natural stream flow. It will include two travel lanes, a center turn lane, bike lanes and sidewalks.
This project is funded through phase 3c of the county’s Major Streets and Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3c). Construction is anticipated to begin mid-May 2012 with anticipated completion by the summer of 2013.
