Washington County’s Department of Land Use and Transportation and the City of Sherwood invite the public to attend an Open House on Wednesday, July 11 for the Tualatin Sherwood Road improvement project. The event will be held at the Sherwood Police Station, 20495 SW Borchers Drive, Sherwood. The public is welcome to drop in anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the proposed design alternatives and to provide feedback to the project team. Project staff from Washington County, the City of Sherwood, and design consultant Harper Houf Peterson Righellis Inc. (HHPR) will be available to answer questions.

This project will make needed improvements to Tualatin Sherwood Road/Roy Rogers Road, from Borchers Drive to Langer Farms Parkway (previously known as Adams Avenue). The project will improve traffic flow and circulation, improve safety for all modes of transportation, and accommodate anticipated future traffic capacity needs. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2014.

This project is funded through phases 3c and 3d of the county’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
