Closure between Elwert and Kruger roads and Highway 99W is extended through Aug. 11

Access between Elwert/Kruger roads and Highway 99W at Sunset Boulevard will remain closed through Aug. 11. The closure began April 13 for installation of a roundabout.

Access between Elwert/Kruger roads and Highway 99W at Sunset Boulevard will remain closed through Aug. 11. The closure began April 13 for installation of a roundabout.

Elwert and Kruger roads will remain open to traffic with lane closures. Travelers must use Edy Road to access Highway 99W and SW Sunset Boulevard.

Work remaining for the project includes:

  • Installation and activation of a traffic signal at Elwert Road/Sunset Boulevard
  • Installation of a sidewalk on west side of Highway 99W
  • Final paving and striping
  • Crosswalk installation
  • Sign installation

This project is funded through the County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP) with contributions from the Sherwood School District and the city of Sherwood.
