Washington County's Department of Land Use & Transportation invites the public to an Open House on Thursday, April 3 for the Baseline Road improvement project. The event will be held at Brown Middle School, 1505 SW Cornelius Pass Road. The public is welcome to drop by anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to learn more about the latest proposed design for the project and to provide comments for the project team. No formal presentation is planned. County staff and design consultant Cardno Inc. will be available to answer questions.
This project will improve Baseline Road between Brookwood Avenue and 231st Avenue and between 197th Avenue and Lisa Drive to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane). Additional improvements include bike lanes, sidewalks, and street lighting, matching up to the existing five lane sections at each end of both project limits. Construction is anticipated to begin this summer with completion by April 2016.
This project is funded through phase 3d of the County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
