Media release

Learn about the 205th Avenue Project and comment on the proposed bike and pedestrian design alternatives via an online open house through Dec. 8.

205th Avenue, between Baseline Road and Quatama Street (see map), is a two-lane road with no bike lanes. The 205th Avenue bridge over Beaverton Creek, built in 1960, is narrow with no bike lanes and a cantilevered pedestrian walkway only on the east side.

The design for this project includes:

  • Replacement bridge over Beaverton Creek (with bike lanes and sidewalks)
  • Three lanes (one travel lane in each direction with a center turn lane)
  • Bike and pedestrian facilities
  • Retaining walls
  • Streetlights
  • Improved stormwater drains and treatment facilities

This open house looks at sidewalk and bike lane options. These options and comments received through the open house will be presented to the Washington County Board of Commissioners for further input. This input will help inform the next phase of design.
The project is funded through the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program 3e and 3f and the Transportation Development Tax.

Visit the online open house and share your comments through Dec. 8.
