Learn about the 25th Avenue and Cornell Road Intersection Project at June 13 open house

Talk with the project team on June 13; construction starts summer 2024.
Media release

Talk with the project team and learn about construction planned for the 25th Avenue and Cornell Road Intersection Project from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Hillsboro Brookwood Library, 2850 NE Brookwood Pkwy.

The intersection will be improved with:

  • Dedicated turn lanes from southbound 25th Avenue onto Cornell Road
  • Bike lanes
  • Upgraded traffic signals
  • Updated streetlights

Construction is scheduled to begin later this summer. The intersection will remain open though most of the project, except when installing the signal poles, which will require intermittent nighttime closures of 25th Avenue.

The estimated $7.6 million project is paid for through the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3d) and the City of Hillsboro to improve road capacity and traffic flow.

No presentation is planned; drop by the open house any time between 5-7 p.m. to have your questions answered. Exhibits will be posted to the project webpage following the event.
