On April 18, 2023, the Washington County Board of Commissioners adopted the 2023-2026 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Framework. Subsequently on May 23, 2023 the Board approved all projects outlined within the framework.

In June of 2021, the Washington County Board of Commissioners committed to pursuing a set of values and principles to guide Washington County’s use of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. The first phase of the County's ARPA framework has included investments in surviving COVID-19, community stabilization and wellness, small business support, workforce development, community engagement, and continuity in government services.
