We will add a crosswalk, signs, road striping and curb ramps.
A Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) will be installed to alert drivers when someone is in the crosswalk. RRFBs are crossing signals with blinking lights that turn on when a pedestrian presses a button.
This project is part of a larger effort to connect sidewalks and walkways in the Bethany Area.
To ensure cost-efficient construction, this project is being designed and constructed alongside:
- Waterhouse Trail Crossings
- Laidlaw Road and Waterhouse Trail
- Bethany Boulevard and Mitchell Avenue
- Greenwood Drive
Construction start (expected): June 2025
Construction finish (expected): Sept. 2025

3/25/2025: Design work is nearing completion. We are preparing to bid for a construction contractor.
