FAQs

There are sections of sidewalk along both sides of 192nd Avenue. This scope of this project is limited to creating a continuous sidewalk on one side of 192nd Avenue, either east or side, between Tualatin Valley Highway and Trelane Street. To propose additional pedestrian improvements, submit a Pedestrian and Biking Improvement Proposal Form.

Design Alternative 2 proposes sidewalk construction along the east side of 192nd Avenue. If Design Alternative 1 is selected, a curb ramp crossing would be built at Trelane Street. This would tie into the east and west sides at that intersection, making the footpath bridge from Christopher Avenue accessible with only a minor amount of backtracking to reach Tualatin Valley Highway.

The scope of this project is solely on 192nd Avenue, between Tualatin Valley Highway and Trelane Street. To propose additional pedestrian improvements, please submit a Pedestrian and Biking Improvement Proposal Form.

One of the goals of the Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD) Fund is to add or infill sidewalk on eligible roads in urban unincorporated Washington County. The project candidate list currently has 200 proposed sites. Over the last five fiscal years, the Road Fund has completed roughly seven projects per fiscal year. To make funding available for more candidate projects, typically sidewalk are only added on one side of the road through the candidate project site.
