The National Weather Service is calling for high winds and heavy rain this weekend. Rain will increase dramatically starting tomorrow (September 28) and into the evening hours. A stronger storm is expected to roll in Sunday and continue into Sunday evening. Heavy rains reduce driver’s visibility and can result in the flooding of roads. Wind can result in downed trees and other debris on roadways.
Be prepared and make smart choices:
- When driving, turn on your lights, slow down and watch for bicyclists and pedestrians.
- If you see flooding on a roadway – turn around, don’t drown.
- Clear out storm drains and culverts adjacent to your property to prevent flooding.
