Washington County's Department of Land Use & Transportation will host an Area 93 Community Planning public event on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Event Center (Building 9) at Portland Community College's Rock Creek Campus, located at 17705 NW Springville Road, Portland. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. A presentation at 5:30 p.m. will provide an overview of the Area 93 community planning efforts to date, including a new wetland and natural resource inventory, and draft Community Plan alternatives. The public is encouraged to join in the discussions and provide input on the proposed alternatives.

Washington County is developing a community plan to guide future urban development in this 160-acre area. The project timeline calls for presentation of a draft community plan to the Washington County Planning Commission for public hearings in Summer 2015 and to the Washington County Board of Commissioners for public hearings and potential plan adoption in Fall 2015.
