Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation

When Barrows Road reopens August 19 following repair of the bridge over Summer Creek, traffic flow at the eastmost intersection of Barrows and Scholls Ferry Road will be different. Traffic onto or out of Barrows Road at Scholls Ferry Road will be restricted to right-in/right-out.

Westbound traffic on Scholls Ferry Road will no longer be allowed to turn left onto Barrows Road. Northbound traffic on Barrows will no longer be allowed to turn left onto Scholls Ferry.

Washington County's traffic engineers expect this change to eliminate the long queues of traffic waiting to turn left onto Barrows that sometimes backed up across the intersection of Scholls Ferry and 135th Avenue.
