An open house for the upcoming construction on Taylors Ferry Road and 80th Avenue will be 5-7 p.m. July 11, at the Patricia D. Whiting Hall, Metzger Park, 8400 SW Hemlock St.

Staff from Washington County and the contractor will be available to answer questions and collect comments. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.

Construction is expected to begin July 15 with project completion expected by Dec. 31, 2019. Taylors Ferry Road closed on June 13 between 80th Avenue and Washington Drive, due to bridge damage. A signed detour is in place.

  • Sidewalk installation on Taylors Ferry Road, between Washington Drive and 78th Place

Total cost is $2.6 million, funded through the County's Road Capital Bridge Fund, Road Fund and the Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD).
