A strong winter storm may bring low elevation snow during this afternoon's commute, especially in western Washington County. Snow may accumulate on the western valley floor from Banks to Forest Grove, with more accumulation at higher elevations in the foothills. Snow accumulation in the Coast Range is expected from late Tuesday through Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service has also issued a high wind warning in the Coast Range, which could cause tree damage, leading to power outages and difficult driving. Travelers should pay attention to updated weather forecasts and be prepared for wintry driving conditions.
Washington County road crews are prepared for the storm and are currently operating in 24-hour mode. Follow updated road conditions on the Washington County Roads website at www.wc-roads.com.
