Washington County’s Department of Land Use and Transportation will be paving 185th Avenue between West Union Road and Springville Road and West Union Road from Shoreline Way to 185th Avenue starting Monday, July 18. This work is weather dependent and conditions must be warm and dry for paving to occur.
Daytime paving is scheduled to begin Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Nighttime paving work is scheduled for Friday, July 22, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on 185th Avenue during paving. Portions of this work will require the signal at the intersection of 185th Avenue and West Union Road to be shut down. Delays of up to 20 minutes may be experienced at the intersection of 185th Avenue and West Union Road. Motorists are advised to anticipate significant delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the work area.
Permanent roadway and intersection striping is scheduled to be installed by the first week in August.
