An open house for the Timber Road bridge replacement project will be 5-7 p.m. Dec. 15 at Gales Creek Fire Station 52122 NW Old Wilson River Road.

The open house, sponsored by Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation, provides the public with the opportunity to learn more about the proposed design and the upcoming construction project. No formal presentation is planned; stop in any time during open house hours.

The existing bridge on Timber Road over Gales Creek, north of Hwy 6, is narrow and weight limited. The new single-span concrete bridge will be wider and have shoulders.

Construction is expected to begin in spring. Traffic will be limited to one lane during construction. The $2.06 million project is funded through the County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP) Phase 3d.
