Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend an Open House on September 21 for the Scholls Ferry Road at Fanno Creek bridge replacement project. The event will be held at the McKay Elementary School gymnasium, 7485 SW Scholls Ferry Road, Beaverton. The public is invited to drop in any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to learn more about the proposed improvements. Project staff from Washington County will be available to answer questions and solicit feedback.
The project will replace the Scholls Ferry Road bridge over Fanno Creek, located between Denney Road and Allen Boulevard. The new bridge structure will be longer, wider and built above the flood plain. It will include two travel lanes, a center turn lane, bike lanes and sidewalks. The project is funded through the county Major Streets and Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). Construction is scheduled to begin May 2012.
