An open house for the SW 198th Avenue improvements will be 5-7 p.m. June 2 at Edwards Aloha Community Center, 4375 SW Edwards Place.
The open house, sponsored by Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) provides the public with an opportunity to learn about, and comment on, the proposed improvements for 198th Avenue between Tualatin Valley Highway and Farmington Road. No formal presentation is planned.
The project calls for a center turn lane, continuous bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the street, street lighting, landscaping and storm draining upgrades. The project is funded through the Major Streets Transportation and Improvement Program (MSTIP) 3d. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer of 2018, with completion anticipated in late 2019.
