The public is invited to comment on sidewalk improvements planned for Madeline Street at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Aloha High School, 18550 SW Kinnaman Road.

Updated project exhibits will be available online starting Nov. 30. Comments will be accepted at the open house and by email through Dec. 9.

This open house is being held in response to requests for more detailed design options for sidewalks on both the north and south sides of the street between 192nd Avenue and Aloha High School. In addition to this sidewalk segment, the project calls for:

  • A sidewalk on one side of Madeline Street, between 180th and 192nd avenues.
  • A sidewalk on the north side of Madeline Street, between 180th and 185th avenues.
  • Realignment of the pedestrian crossing at 185th Avenue and Madeline Street.

Construction is expected in 2019. Project dates are estimates and subject to change.

The estimated $901,000 project is funded through the County's Urban Roads Maintenance District (URMD).
