Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend an Open House on September 22 for the Bethany Boulevard at Highway 26 Overcrossing project. The event will be held at the Phoenix Inn, 15402 NW Cornell Road, Beaverton. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to learn more about the proposed improvements. Project staff from Washington County and design consultant Parsons Brinckerhoff will be available to answer questions and solicit feedback.
The project will widen the existing four-lane Bethany Boulevard overcrossing of Highway 26 to six lanes. Overcrossing enhancements will include bike lanes, a sidewalk on the east side and a multi-use path on the west side. This project is funded through the county Major Streets and Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). Construction is scheduled to begin June 2012.
