Washington County’s Department of Land Use and Transportation announces day and night time lane closures on Glencoe Road between Tiffany Street and Evergreen Road in Hillsboro. The closures are necessary for grinding (old pavement removal) and re-paving work.
Work dates and times are as follows:
- Thursday, June 10, and Friday, June 11, on Glencoe Road - day work from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Thursday, June 17, from Tiffany Street north to Harewood Street - night work from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Friday, June 18, from Cory Street south to Harewood Street - night work from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Monday, June 21, and Tuesday, June 22, from Cory Street (north) - day work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Only one lane will be open to both bicycle and vehicular traffic, so delays should be expected. The public is encouraged to use alternate routes. Message board signs will be placed in advance informing the public of the delays; flaggers will be on-site directing traffic during the lane closures. NOTE: Work is weather dependent and subject to change.
This work is being funded by the federal 2010 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). For more information please contact the county’s Capital Project Management Division at 503-846-7800.
