A Meet the Contractor open house for the Jenkins Road project is 5-7 p.m. May 2 at Merlo Station High School, 1841 SW Merlo Drive (Link is external).

The contractor and County staff will be available to answer questions about the final design and construction schedule. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.

Jenkins Road will be widened to five lanes, two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, between 158th Avenue and Murray Boulevard.

The project includes:

  • Bridge replacement at Cedar Mill Creek, west of 153rd Avenue.
  • Dedicated right turn lane from westbound Jenkins Road to northbound 158th Avenue.
  • Bike lanes.
  • Sidewalks.

Construction is expected to being in late May with completion expected by Dec. 31, 2020.

The $13 million project is funded through Washington County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP).
