Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend an Open House on May 3 for the Rock Creek Regional Trail Crossing at Evergreen Parkway project. The event will be held at the City of Hillsboro’s Parks and Recreation Administration Building (Gordon Faber Recreation Complex – Hillsboro Stadium), 4400 SW 229th Avenue, Hillsboro. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the project. Project staff from Washington County will be available to answer questions and to solicit feedback.
This project will install a fully signalized crosswalk on Evergreen Parkway at the City of Hillsboro’s Rock Creek Regional Trail entrances between Aloclek Drive and John Olsen Avenue. The crosswalk will provide a safe bicycle and pedestrian crossing for trail users.
This project is funded through Oregon Department of Transportation’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Program. Construction is anticipated to begin summer 2012 with anticipated completion by December 2012.
