Visit the Century Boulevard and Tualatin Valley Highway intersection construction kickoff through July 5 to learn about the project, road closures and detours.
Construction begins July 5 and is expected to be completed by Oct. 1, 2022. The project includes road closures in three phases.
The first closure of Century Boulevard between Tualatin Valley Highway (OR-8) and the Goodwill driveway is expected to begin Sept. 1. Traffic will detour to Alexander and Blanton streets, TV Highway and Brookwood Avenue. See detour
The Century Boulevard and TV Highway intersection will be widened to five lanes, two motor vehicle lanes in each direction and a center turn lane. Improvements include:
- Bike lanes
- Sidewalks
- Storm drainage improvements
- Landscaping
- Traffic signing and striping
- Traffic signal upgrades at Century Boulevard and TV Highway
- New traffic signal at Century Boulevard and Alexander Street
- Bus pull-outs on TV Highway
- Railroad crossing upgrade
The estimated $14.5 million project is funded through the County’s MSTIP Bonding Cost-sharing Program and the city of Hillsboro.
