Gaston Road between Spring Hill Road and Highway 47 is closing Aug. 24-Nov. 30 for bridge replacement.
Traffic will detour to Spring Hill Road and Highway 47.
The existing Gaston Road Bridge over Wapato Creek was built in 1958. In June 2016 the bridge was weight-limited due to decay of the timber structure. The new concrete bridge will be wider and built to current safety and environmental standards.
The estimated $1.4 million project is funded through Oregon HB 2017.
A section of waterline will be replaced during the closure, in coordination with L.A. Water Cooperative.
