A contractor for Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation will pave Evergreen Road between Brookwood Parkway and 25th Avenue beginning Wednesday, October 3 and continuing through Wednesday, October 17. Commuters are advised to anticipate long delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes (Cornell Road or Highway 26).
Paving work is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day. During this work, a single lane of traffic in each direction will generally remain open on Evergreen Road; however, delays of 20 minutes or more may be experienced. The public’s patience is greatly appreciated as we advance this important improvement project.
This work is part of a project that is widening Evergreen Road between 253rd and 25th Avenues to two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Additional improvements include the installation of buffered bicycle lanes and sidewalks along with a new pavement overlay between 253rd and Brookwood Parkway.
