An open house for the Cornelius Pass Road widening project will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at R. A. Brown Middle School, 1505 SE Cornelius Pass Road.
Staff from Washington County and the contractor will be available to answer questions and collect comments. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.
Cornelius Pass Road will be widened to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane), between Frances Street and Tualatin Valley Highway. Bike lanes, sidewalks and other safety improvements will be installed. A dedicated westbound right-turn lane will be added to Tualatin Valley Highway.
As part of the project, the Willamette Water Supply Program will install a 48-inch drinking water pipeline in conjunction with road construction.
This project is in the design phase. Construction is anticipated for 2022-24. Project dates are estimates and subject to change.
