Cornelius Pass Road open house is Sept. 10

An open house for the Cornelius Pass Road widening project will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at R. A. Brown Middle School, 1505 SE Cornelius Pass Road(Link is external).

Staff from Washington County and the contractor will be available to answer questions and collect comments. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.

Cornelius Pass Road will be widened to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane), between Frances Street and Tualatin Valley Highway. Bike lanes, sidewalks and other safety improvements will be installed. A dedicated westbound right-turn lane will be added to Tualatin Valley Highway.

As part of the project, the Willamette Water Supply Program will install a 48-inch drinking water pipeline in conjunction with road construction.

This project is in the design phase. Construction is anticipated for 2022-24. Project dates are estimates and subject to change.
