A contractor for Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation has commenced work on the Rock Creek Trail Crossing at Evergreen Parkway in Hillsboro. This project will install a fully signalized crosswalk where the City of Hillsboro's Rock Creek Trail intersects Evergreen Parkway, between Aloclek Drive and John Olsen Avenue. The crosswalk will provide a safer pedestrian and bicycle crossing for trail users.
For the safety of the trail's users, a section of the Rock Creek Trail is CLOSED through November 15 while the contractor installs the signal poles, accessibility ramps, curbs and sidewalks (click on map to the right). Occasional lane restrictions on Evergreen Parkway may also be needed during construction. The public’s patience is greatly appreciated.
This project is funded through the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Program.
