Comment on the Thompson Road Realignment through May 17

Comment on the proposed design for a Thompson Road realignment at an online open house through May 17.

Kenny Terrace will be connected to Saltzman and Thompson roads. The new road alignment will be a three-lane road (one travel lane in each direction and a center turn lane). Other improvements include:

• Buffered bike lanes
• Sidewalks
• Improved street lighting

This project is funded through the MSTIP Bonding Cost-sharing Program for capacity and safety improvements in the North Bethany/Bonny Slope West area.

Comments on the alternatives will be accepted through May 17. Once an alternative is selected, the design will be further developed. A second open house is anticipated for fall. Construction is tentatively expected for 2021-2022.
