Comment on the Meadow Drive and Downing Street/Butner Road pedestrian improvement projects through an online open house through July 25.

The Meadow Drive Pedestrian Improvement Project includes new sidewalks, filling in gaps along the east side of the road, between Pioneer and Walker Roads. This project, estimated at $830,000, is funded by House Bill 2017.

The Downing Street/Butner Road Pedestrian Improvement Project also involves new sidewalk, filling in gaps along the south side of the road, between Murray Boulevard and Meadow Drive. This project, estimated at $1.9 million, is funded by both House Bill 2017 and Gain Share.

Both projects were selected by the Urban Road Maintenance Advisory Committee (URMDAC) based on the need for safe pedestrian routes in this area.
