Comment on Intelligent Transportation Systems update by June 13

Learn about Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and comment on the Washington County ITS Plan Update at an online open house through June 13.

ITS is the road and signal technology that improves safety and convenience for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The ITS Plan was created in 2005 to outline the County’s approach to building ITS. The open house overviews the 2021 ITS Plan Update, which aims to:

• Enhance safety for all travelers
• Provide equitable access to all transportation options
• Reduce congestion and vehicle emissions
• Improve traveler information
