Butner Road closure is extended through Sept. 1.UPDATED: 08/20/2020
Butner Road between 126th and Huntington avenues is closed July 13-Aug. 24 for culvert replacement.
Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained through the project area. Other travelers must use the signed detour to Murray Boulevard, Walker Road and Cedar Hills Boulevard. Access to St. Andrews Lutheran Church and other properties will be maintained from the east.
Culvert improvements include:
- Larger culvert
- Improved fish passage
- Potential flood event improvements
- Sidewalks
- Waterline replacement
The estimated $978,000 project is funded through the County’s Road Fund as part of the Annual Maintenance Program. Construction is scheduled through December.
