Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend an Open House on April 3 for the Meacham Road at East Fork Dairy Creek bridge replacement project. The event will be held at Jessie Mays Community Hall, 30975 NW Hillcrest Street, North Plains. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to review the final design plans and to meet the contractor, Jeff Carter Construction. Project staff from Washington County will be available to answer questions.
The upcoming project will replace the bridge over East Fork Dairy Creek on Meacham Road. This project is funded in part by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program as a result of the December 2007 flood disaster declaration in the county. The Oregon Office of Emergency Management administers and sub-grants the FEMA funding to the County. Remaining funds will be provided through the County Road Fund (gas tax). Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2012.
