Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation invites the public to attend an Open House on April 11 for the Johnson School Road at Davis Creek bridge replacement project. The event will be held at Farmington View School’s library, 8300 SW Hillsboro Highway, Hillsboro. The public is invited to drop in anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to learn more about the project. Project staff from Washington County will be available to answer questions and to solicit feedback.
This project will replace the bridge over Davis Creek on Johnson School Road with a newer longer structure that will span the creek, restoring natural stream flow.
In order to replace the bridge, Johnson School Road will need to be closed at Davis Creek for approximately three months. The closure will begin in either August or September 2012 and will remain closed until November or December 2012. Exact dates will be determined upon the selection of a construction contractor. Traffic will be detoured over to Tongue Lane and Highway 219 during the closure.
This project is funded through the county’s Road Capital Bridge Program. Construction is anticipated to begin summer 2012 with anticipated completion by the end of December 2012.
