Media release

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation

Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation will temporarily close Springville Road between Oats Terrace and Kaiser Road for approximately two and a half weeks, beginning Monday, August 12. The closure is necessary in order to install a waterline and perform a pavement overlay within the closed section of roadway. The road is scheduled to be reopened to traffic no later then August 27, 2013; however, unforeseen circumstances could result in a longer closure.

During the closure, all traffic, including pedestrians and bicyclists, will be detoured to Kaiser, Laidlaw and West Union roads. Detour signs will be provided along the designated detour route. Local access to driveways within the closure area will be available at all times.
