SW 205th Avenue is closing Nov. 2, between SW Gracie and NW Quatama streets, for urgent bridge repairs. These repairs will require removal of the pedestrian bridge.

Traffic will be detoured onto Quatama Stree and Cornelius Pass Road and Baseline roads. (See map.) Construction is expected to be completed Nov. 20. The work schedule is subject to change.

Two of the five timber bridge caps have deteriorated, causing the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to recommend additional weight restrictions to the bridge. In order to avoid these restrictions, all five timber bridge caps will be replaced with steel beams.
