Two new managers have been hired in senior leadership roles within the Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT).
Carol Johnson is the new Planning and Development Services Division Manager, overseeing the Building Services, Development Review/Current Planning, Community Planning and Transportation Planning teams. Alee Langford is the new Senior Administrative Manager, leading the department’s finance and personnel functions.
Johnson joined LUT on Nov. 25. She was most recently the Planning Director for a consulting firm in Redwood City, Calif. Before that, she was the Land Use Planning Director for Multnomah County where she was responsible for Current Planning, Long Range Planning and Code Compliance. Johnson has also led planning and development services teams in other counties and cities.
Langford most recently served as the Business Operations and Contract Manager with the Oregon Department of Transportation Urban Mobility Office. She has also served in business management roles for several Portland and Hillsboro-based companies. She started with LUT on Nov. 4.
“Both Alee and Carol have significant experience related to the work LUT performs,” said Stephen Roberts, LUT Director. “They bring a wealth of leadership experience and fresh perspectives to their respective positions.”
