Voter Registration Deadline for Oregon’s November Election Approaches

Those who want to participate in the upcoming November 5, General Election have until tonight at 11:59 p.m. to register or update their voter information.

Washington County Elections is reminding all residents that today, October 15, is the deadline to register and update your voter information for the November 5, 2024 General Election.

Oregonians can register or update their voter information:

Reasons to update your voter registration status include:

  • Recent name change
  • Just turned 16 years old
  • Just became a U.S. Citizen
  • Recently moved

Registration forms sent through mail must be postmarked by October 15, 2024, or submitted online tonight no later than 11:59 p.m. to be valid. Online registration requires a states driver’s license, permit or other identification issued by the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV).

To register to vote in Oregon, you must be a U.S. citizen, an Oregon resident and at least 16 years of age. If you are not yet 18 years old, you will not receive a ballot until an election occurs on or after your 18th birthday.

Ballots will begin to be mailed out to all registered voters tomorrow, October 16, 2024. If you have not received your ballot by October 22, 2024, contact Washington County Elections at 503-846-5800.
