As WIC celebrates turning 50 this year, Washington County Public Health (WCPH) WIC joins the occasion, shining a light on local efforts that bring healthy foods, nutrition education and health care referrals to lower income families across the region.

The event takes place on November 15. Resources include housing, employment, health care including COVID-19 and flu shots, education, haircuts, clothing, pet food, legal assistance, advocates for state and federal benefits, and more.

Five local animal organizations are joining forces for Adopt ASAP, a major adoption event happening Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October 27. During the event, adopters can welcome a furry friend into their lives for 75% off adoption fees.
