Below is a list of restricted items that residents are not allowed to have in their personal property during the time they are at the Corrections Center:
- Pocket knives, utility tools or razor blade knives or cutters, anything that can be used as a weapon
- Incense or air deodorizers of any kind
- Candles
- Drug paraphernalia
- Any electronic device, including:
- Phones, digital media players, video players, game systems, and anything that can text, call, send email, or communicate with another person, phone number, or online address
- Bleach or any other cleaning agent, liquid, or chemical that is not allowed by staff. All allowed laundry soap and cleaning chemicals must be in their original boxes, bottles, or containers
- Musical instruments
- Food, drinks, gum, candy, or water bottles
- Many tobacco products, including:
- Cigars, loose tobacco, pipes, e-cigarettes, vape devices, chew, snuff, or rolling papers. Flavored or scented cigarettes are not allowed, unless they are menthol cigarettes
- Tattoo equipment
- “Stingers” to warm drinks
- Cameras, video, or audio / voice recorders
- Anything that is not allowed because of a court order, sentencing authority, or other legal reasons
- Any printed material, drawings, or photos that have been changed in some way, like cutting or taking something out of a magazine and taping it to the wall to view
- Gambling devices or winnings, including lottery tickets.
- Medications that have not been approved.
- Gang-related materials.
- Inflammatory or offensive material that advocates (supports) the hatred of a racial, religious, national or other group, or talks about any of these groups being better than others
- Fingernail polish, fingernail glue, fake nails, hair dye, permanent markers
- DVD’s / Video cassettes / TV’s
- Hair clippers or beard trimmers.
- Aerosols
- Adhesive tape (Scotch tape, masking tape, duct tape, etc.)
- Your own bedding, stuffed animals
- Oregon Trail food stamp cards (unless you are a prison release t-lodger)
- Walking sticks or canes (unless approved by a doctor or medical provider)
