The Washington County Board of Commissioners address key issues that explain the history of the land use planning process for North Bethany and Arbor Oaks. The development coincides with promising signs of economic recovery which will bring about a high demand for housing in Washington County in the coming years. The Commissioners filed this guest editorial piece with the Oregonian in response to two recent stories regarding North Bethany.

Hispanic Heritage Month was established in Washington County to recognize the contributions Hispanic/Latino members of our communities have made in Washington County.

The Washington County Board of Commissioners have asked voters in the Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District to consider replacing an existing local option levy that expires June 2013. This measure would maintain current service levels within the Patrol District.
