Ballots for the November 3, 2020 General Election start getting mailed today. If you are a registered voter, start checking your mailbox for your ballot. If by October 20, 2020 you have not received your ballot, you can request a replacement ballot by using the Ballot Request Form at washcovotes.org or contact the Elections Office at 503-846-5800.
The voting deadline is 8 p.m. on the day of the election, Tuesday, November 3, 2020. If you choose to mail your ballot, be sure to have it in the mail at least by October 27, 2020. “To give your ballot even more time to arrive, I suggest using a guideline of October 24 to October 27 to get it in the mail,” says Washington County Elections Manager, Mickie Kawai, “and remember that a stamp is no longer necessary because we provide a postage-paid envelope to return your ballot.”

Whether you choose to vote by mail, or to vote by using a ballot box at one of the many dropsites, we advise you to vote early. If you choose to vote by mail, voting early allows for plenty of time for your ballot to be delivered to the Elections Office because postmarks do not count. Your ballot must be in the Elections Office or in an Official Dropsite Ballot Box by 8 p.m. on Election Day. If you choose to drop your ballot off at one of the official ballot box dropsites, voting early means you will avoid the long lines and traffic congestion that often occur on election day and the day before the election around many of the ballot dropsite locations. All ballot dropsites will remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, 2020.

Hoy se comienzan a enviar por correo las boletas para las elecciones generales del 3 de noviembre de 2020. Si está registrado para votar, esté atento a su buzón para ver si recibe la boleta. Si para el 20 de octubre de 2020 no ha recibido la boleta, podrá pedir una usando el Formulario de solicitud de boleta (Ballot Request Form) en washcovotes.org, o llame a la Oficina Electoral al 503-846-5800.

Decida votar por correo o usando un buzón para boletas en uno de los muchos sitios de entrega, le aconsejamos que vote anticipadamente.
