Yesterday at about 4:22 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an assault call in the area of SW Johnson Street and SW 200th Court. When deputies arrived they contacted a 17-year-old male who was bleeding from the mouth and had a swollen eye.

Today, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) celebrates the retirement of married couple, Lieutenant Cindy Mackley and Sergeant Ted Mackley after almost 50 combined years of honorable service to Washington County.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 7:43 a.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a black 2000 Honda Accord for numerous traffic violations in the 5000 block of Southwest Hillsboro Highway in unincorporated Washington County.

Deputies serving the City of Cornelius arrested three men after they stole a piece of construction equipment that had an anti-theft GPS tracker.

Three Arrests Made After Deputy Discovers Stolen Car

The Three Flags Blitz continues. Deputies have issued over 75 seat belt citations, over 100 Mobile Communication Device citations, and noted numerous speeding violations.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting the Three Flags Seatbelt Blitz over the next two weeks. Beginning Monday February 10, 2014, law enforcement agencies from Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia will participate in a two-week campaign to encourage the use of hands free cell phone devices, seat belts and child safety restraints.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Team reports the results from the Three Flags Seatbelt Blitz enforcement. 

Three stores sold alcohol to underage decoys during a joint mission with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. In total, two enforcement teams visited 28 stores in unincorporated Washington County.
