On Monday, June 10, 2019, Jasper underwent surgery to remove the bullet from his rear left thigh. The bullet lodged in Jasper’s neck will not be removed at this time due to its location and risk of removing it. Jasper is still recovering, and his condition continues to improve each day.

Blueberry, an American Pitbull Terrier that's approximately one-and-a-half years old, is believed to have been stolen in November 2017. Deputies urge anyone with information to call non-emergency dispatch: 503-629-0111.

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, WCSO deputies responded to the Twin Oaks Airpark concerning a reported plane crash. Two men were treated by TVF&R rescue personnel and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

17-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured by Hit-and-Run Drive

In April of 2014, Madaline Pitkin passed away while under medical care at the Washington County Jail. In response to this incident, the Sheriff stated, “On behalf of everyone at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, I express my deepest sympathies and condolences to Ms. Pitkin’s family and friends. Madaline Pitkin’s death was a tragedy, and we remain committed to taking decisive steps to make sure that we have the highest level of health care available.”

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) investigators executed a search warrant at 2944 NE Moda Way in Hillsboro and a second search warrant at 1218 SE Alder Street in Hillsboro. Both search warrants were the result of a single investigation.
